Vintage Models
After getting questions about the vintage model layout, I decided to make a similar type using the same images, but in a different style. This tutorial will be made in photoshop, everything except the colouring can be mimicked into some other programs. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Credit goes to
- 99mockingbirds, 17dayone, and swimchick for the textures
- Elle Korea and FakingFashion for the images.
Step #1
Open a new image with the dimensions of 900×300. The fill it with this pattern. Pick 4 of your favorite images from the ones below and cut out into a little circles.
When your done, merge all he images together and paste it onto the patterned background. In the end you should have something like this:
Step 2
Now we’re going to add the little images. Using the 5 images below, cut them into circles like the ones above, but smaller.
Merge and paste it into the layout right next to the big one, add some drop shadow to make it look smooth. You should end up with something like this:
Step 3
Now we’re going to start adding the textures behind it. I’m going to put all the textures that we will use below to make things easier.
You can either save them or just copy them from here. Paste them into the layout and put them how you see fit. Make sure to resize or crop some of them if necessary because they are a bit big. After that, I ended up with this.
Step 4
Take these two flowers (1)(2), paste them some where on the layout to give it that vintage flowery look. After all that, this is what mine looks like:
Take a deep breath, we’re almost done. Feel free to rest a little bit.
Step 5
Time for the coloring, download this curves preset and upload it to Photoshop. Put it below your circle images and above your vintage textures. Now duplicate that and put it on top your images and the rest of your textures.
Download this channel mixer and this selective coloring presets. Put then on top of your duplicated curves layer and you’re done.
In the end you should have something similar to the image below, if you don’t and have some questions feel free to ask me.
