TLB: The New Classic

Can anyone guess what I’ve been doing for the past 4 hours? I’ve been working on thelovelybones and I finally finished it. I think I had a revelation or something. I woke up at 2am and decided I was going to work on it. I just woke up out of nowhere. :arh: It took 4 hours to create everything on that site. I think it’s pretty good. Please go through it and let me know what you think.

I think my favorite part has to be the layout, it’s so dark and perfect. I didn’t put colours or anything like that because let’s face the layout images has enough colors as it is. :8 I used old layouts because they were dark and it went well together. I also added 3 coming soon tabs, but it’s only because I wanted to make use of the scroll thingy. :P

Today my paycheck 1 arrives in the mail, I hoping it won’t be messed up anymore 2. When it arrives I need to call Alex 3 to let him know if it’s fixed or not. Anyways I’m going to lay in bed all day today…well until my sis bring her kid in 2 hours…I have to babysit. >;< On the plus side I am getting paid $50 each week, it’s a total rip off but hey whatchu gonna do?

I hope nothing is wrong with your paycheck! Also, I don't get paid much more than $50 a week… what are you talking about. 0:) And I don't even babysit, I actually work! Sucks. o_o You're at least earning some money from that. :B

Thank you, glad you like my layout! :3 I am actually getting bored of it now, I think because I started coding something else I really like. XD I thought my current layout was the best I'd made, but I have another one I might use… but I might not change it yet. xD

Your parents should help you with school stuff. My parents pay for some of my school stuff because it's important and they would like me to learn to save my own money for myself. They know I don't spend too much so I'll probably be alright. :P

Ahaha gah, you! Look up "Home and Away". It's an Australian drama, and there are more cute actors there. ;) You won't be disappointed.

Oh wow. I wish I could fall asleep at 10 or 11 instead of 12… or later. xD

Also, it's crazy you woke up in the wee hours of the morning to work on TLB. I used to do that when I was much younger. Hahaha. I was a naughty child wanting to update my website… :P

I totally wake up and decide to design out of no where. In fact, most of my inspiration and good design comes from waking up with an ‘epiphany’. TLB layout looks so beautiful, I love dark layouts like that xP They just never seem to suit me.

You’re getting paid $50 to watch a kid for a week? That is a rip off. I work at a kids day camp, and I get paid $100/day. Then again, I’m watching 7 five year old boys, and teaching 5 science rotations to 20 kids/rotation. But still, request more bank xP Perhaps that’s the frugalness I was born with, though (I’m Jewish, so I fit the frugal stereotype pretty well).

Yay, I love thelovelybones! The name is great, and the film + book are both supposed to be great! I thought it was going to be a portfolio? Ah well, I still love it! TheLovelyBones just looks amazing! Seriously, that 4 hours of work you put in seriously paid off and the site just looks amazing! It’s so adorable.. That I want to pinch its cheeks :P

I always wanted to learn how to do the scroll thing -__-! I wanted to do that with my portfolio-thing but it’s like a pit-stop -__-! I don’t know what to do and I want to like.. Kick myself D:!!

A multi-purpose site is lovely :D! It’s the best thing you can do because you can be busy for YEARS! And not get bored of it!

I like the change! You did a nice job on your domain collective site. Simple, clean, easy to navigate. Just what I like. How many days are you watching the kids per week? 50 dollar for two hours isn’t bad, but if more than 2 hours, I’d be demanding more. Especially b/c she’s my sis! Haha. :P
