Deserted

Is it just me or is the internet completely…bare? Before I was gone, there was a lot of people online and now it’s just plain barren. Where did everyone go? Hopefully this summer lots of people will be back. I had to re-code the layout because everything got messed up. While re-coding I changed all the colors because I was starting to dislike the layout. That happens a lot don’t it? I put up a layout and then I hate it a couple days later. This layout might stay till next month. :]

So I got invited to a sleepover TWICE and I couldn’t go to any of them because my parents said I’m not allowed to do sleepovers. How fucked up is that? :? I mean seriously?? I’m not 5, I’m 15 going on 16! They just piss me off a lot sometimes and make me wonder what my life would be like If I was born into another family. Would it be the same or would I have more freedom? I know I should not complain but it just makes me mad sometimes. >< * I can totally picture this summer, I’m be home EVERYDAY!!! 2 more years and I will be 18 and I am sooo moving out!

I just returned to the online world a month ago, and all the blogs I used to visit all the time were suddenly gone. It’s actually really sad. I hope they’re gonna come back too.

I know what you mean about layouts. There was this time with an old website when I had this one layout up for only a day. :)) It just suddenly looked weird for some reason.

My parents a bit strict about those kinds of things too, but they’re reasonable about it (most of the time). I hope you have a good summer though. I’m sure your parents will let you go out at least once. :)

I guess it’s gotten a lil bit quiet around the internet because everyone seems to have exams and finals and stuff and they just need to concentrate on that more and don’t have the time to really come online that much and stuff. Let’s hope they’ll all be back once summer starts!

Your layout looks really, really good this way! I love the bright colors on this pretty dark grey shades! Great job. :)
Why didn’t your parents allow you to go to those two sleepovers? Was it just girls? Because if yes, I honestly don’t understand them. I mean, it’s just girls. What could you guys do? I bet there were some parents at home too, right?

Some parents are just really strict I guess which really sucks. I am glad that my parents never really wear like that and my younger sister (who is turning 14 this year) is allowed to do a lot compared to me & my other sister. I guess she’s lucky.

Abut that whole moving out thing – I was the same when I was a little bit younger. I swore to myself I would get out of this house as soon as I turn 18 bla bla. Well.. I am turning 21 this fall and I am still living at home. xD

Thank you! Yeah, my doctors are twats though. I know a lot of people who are scared of needles. I have 2 injections every 3 months but they don’t really bother me that much at all.

I’ve noticed that but a lot of people in America and England have exams coming up so everyone is revising for them. I’m sure by the time July comes everyone will be online again. :)
I liked the colours on the last layout because they were different but these ones are just as good. :)
I don’t blame your parents, some parents can be very protective and strict with their kids but in the end, it all pays off. Georgina’s parents are really strict with her but it’s pushed her to do well in life. I mean, she’s in university and everything.

No matter how much our parents annoy us, we still love them no matter what. You should be privileged to even have parents, a home, a laptop and what not… not many kids do! :P (I sound like I’m 50, oh).

Thought I’d point out in the blockquote above the comment box; “when reply them” should be “when I reply to them” :P

It’s true that people have actually disappeared and it’s kind of dead. I used to get a LOT of comments but now people seem to be really busy or neglecting their websites. I think they might be more active over summer break. Well summer in America – it’s winter here. :P

I have noticed that my hits are dropping as well as my comments. It is pretty crazy.

I like the colours in the layout now – orange and green go well together!

I went to a few sleepovers in high school. But now I’m nearly 19 and my mum won’t even let me go to my boyfriend’s house. She won’t even let me go there to VISIT in effing broad daylight. What the hell is it with parents nowadays? -_- It’s annoying.

Don’t despair, there’ll be other times, hopefully. It’s not too long before you get freedom either. I’m not leaving home. It’s not so much that I’m “not allowed” but if I dare leave, my parents would make me do everything on my own if I’m that fucking determined to go :(

Wow that’s sick… your dad and mum must not have a good relationship now that he has a girlfriend? :|

Hahaha no my food didn’t get wet, it’s all good. :P I hate walking around with food in the rain!

I’m still not getting a Facebook! :P Just you see. Haha. Apparently on the news they said that they’re just going to make all profiles public some time. Ahhh, what a scam. But for now apparently they have made changing privacy settings extremely difficult.

I like texting! I text James all the time. :P

Hahaha exactly! I still like staying in my room to use the wireless but the other day I sat in my brother’s room (and got too lazy to move).

Oh hahaha well woo I can’t wait for the new photoblog. :D
Yeah you’re right. I know that one day I will just be a blogger and I might lose interest in everything else. BUT. I will not break the friendships I have. I will keep in touch with everyone because everyone I’ve met is so amazing.

LOL you have NO idea how much I want to show off at MY ten-year reunion! Ahhhh I really want to get married. XD

James and I won’t waste money on a maid and chef. He can cook and teach me and if we can clean together it’ll be fun. :P

Hehe, yea, all of the names of the people in the case had names that meant something sorta, there was kendra Goode, like can draw good. lol and alfredo fettuccine.

Yea, we don’t have like a mock trial class, i’m in something called G&T, gifted and talented, we do like everything, we built bridges, we did stock market stuff, it’s for smart people. I’ve been in it since 4th grade ^_^

I love the colors in this layout!!! :D really pretty.

I know, there are like no people around online. last summer it was filled with awesome people, but then- bam school comes and ruins everything, i stayed with webdesign for like a year now. so i hope everyone comes back. last summer i had like 40 comments per blog D: now i have like 10 :|.

Aww, I totally know how you feel. I thought it was only Asian Parents who were strict like that. I’m not allowed anywhere. If I go out with my friends, my parents have to be somewhere close. It’s rather annoying. I’ve only had one sleepover in my life. :(

I get like that; I get bored of my dark layouts really easily. IDK, I liked your blue one cause the colours were different to what people usually go for.

I didn’t really study for my final exams either… and they were like the most important exams in my entire life and I was just too lazy hanging out and stuff. I started to “study” like around 8pm or something.. I bet I will regret once I get my results next week!

Yeah, that’s probably it! I also really, really love like neon pink, green & blue on dark grey – Vicky used to have a layout like that. Those colors just really rock!

My sister is the youngest too – well, the youngest girl but what ever – and my parents are actually pretty cool with stuff like sleep overs. But I remember my cousin’s parents being the same way. They even pissed me off with their “No, you can’t do this. You can’t do that” talking.

Parents should realize that the less you allow your kids to do the more they might try to do it behind their backs. And I would rather let them go to a sleep over knowing where they are and that there are parents at home to watch out for them etc. then my kid going behind my back.

That happened to me a lot of times. I don’t know how many half-coded or half-designed layouts I have in my USB right now. :))

I don’t mind winter but it’s better than summer in Australia because summer in Australia is so hot. It’s VERY hot. And no, it only snows in the mountains in Australia. I live about 4 hours away from snow. So there isn’t general “snow” here. XD

I never really liked the colour orange but I did like the colour green. :D
Yeah I’m serious, no lie man. :( You know my mum, super strict. I am old enough and I’m an adult but yeah. I don’t want to disobey my parents. I have snuck around a few times but I really do feel guilty.

In the old days it was all so different, you know? Parents just let kids out on the street to play and stuff and apparently now in the 21st century it’s insane, you have to watch out for EVERYTHING with rapists and paedophiles. :|

Aw man that is the worst. When parents are just together for the kids… you just want to tell them no, and that you’ll be fine without them!

Twitter is always so alive! I like Twitter a lot. And I’m still not getting a Facebook!

Oh t9 texting… isn’t that old? And it uses the dictionary to predict what you’re writing? It’s pretty fast but not when you want to shorten words. XD

I hate when friends ditch you for ‘someone better’. It happened a lot in emelentary school. Not with just me, but everyone! I thought it would be different in high school, since people would be more grown up and all, but boy was I wrong.
Well, at least you have one person you can trust. I used to, but not anymore. We would joke around and whatnot, sur they were funny in the beginning, but they just got worse and worse and more frequent. so I pretty much blew up at her when I told her it annoyed me, and so we are no longer ‘friends’.

I know right?! everyone has left! Most of the websites I used to visit all the time are GONE. It’s said. But I guess everyone has their offline lives- which are more important. It just sucks that a lot of them are gone now.
Wow.. your parents sound very strict! I don’t blame you for wanting to move out as soon as you turn 18. Whats wrong with sleepovers? It’s not like your going to a guys house with no parents.. blah. Parents are so stupid at times. Mine were sort of like that, but now that I’m consiered an adult, they have no say in what I do. Sure they say I shouldn’t, but I shall find out for my self whats good or bad, and whats wrong or right. Hopefully they losen up a little!
