Back to school shopping

Shopping part has to be favorite part when it comes to back to school. Usually shopping was hard because my parents had to pay for it and they complain a lot! This year because I got a job I shopped with my own money. That was a HUGE HUGE accomplishment for me. If feels good when you buy things with your own money because you know that there’s no one breathing down your neck watching your every move.

I made sure to go to the mall that no one else will go too because it’s soo damn far away. I mean have you ever walked down the hallway and seen someone with the same shirt as you? You get all pissed inside don’t you? Yeah hat’s what I wanted to avoid. I went to American Eagle, Wet Seals, Payless, and Aeropostale.

I wasn’t planning on Aeropostale because EVERYONE wears it, but they were having a sale and things were so damn cheap and cute….it called to me. I don’t know why people run from payless like it’s a store for the poor or some shit…it’s expensive and they have some nice shoes. Just because it’s “payless” doesn’t mean it’s really paying less half the time. I rather go there than pay $50 for a pay of shoes at Journeys or Foot Locker. I got mostly sperries. :D

AE shirts shoes from payless ae jeans, ae cami, wet seals vest thingy aero sweats and shirt wet seals jeans, ae shirt wet seals stuff wet seals

This isn’t all i bought but i didn’t feel like taking a pic of every single outfit. I also got some pencils and folders and school crap. Xd

Good job on saving up your own money! I was going to do that this summer, but I couldn’t find a place that’d actually hire me and pay me >.<

Anyway, I love back to school shopping too! I have to wear a uniform (I don't mind it), but I love shopping for shoes. Except it's so hard for me to find shoes because my feet are so small, so it's like a goose chase. Most of the time, I have to resort to buying shoes from boutiques around my city.

I also agree on the Payless thing. They have good shoes there if you really look. I've gotten a couple of shoes that people were surprised I got there.

Ooo congrats on using your own money, doesn’t it make you feel adult? lol first off I love your stuff, the vest is probably my favourite (is it lace? I’m a sucker for lace, especially lace vests haha my boyfriend gets so made at me because he says they aren’t practical, he clearly doesn’t know fashion), and I love the shoes, payless? I’ve wanted some exactly like that, were they expensive? We don’t have wet seal here in Canada though :( I know how you feel about the clothes thing and seeing people wearing what you have, so erking! You will look so cute for back to school though! ALSOOO omgossssh I adore adore adore this layout, the colours, everything, it’s so freaking adorable, gorgeous and lovely! Love the background ;) and couldn’t help notice my link in the credits section, why thank you, glad I could help! :)

I swear, the only good thing about going back to school is shopping for clothes. I can’t think of any positives other than that. I never shop at Aero because people are superficial and skldfjlkjgl jerks where I live. xD I usually shop at American Eagle, Gilly Hicks, or Abercrombie, and the occasional Urban Outfitters because it’s so expensive. xD

Ex. Act. Ly. That’s exactly how I feel! Switching schools would just be the perfect solution for me, and I wish my doctors and parents would understand. :(

I have two more years of highschool…. I hope they go by fast.

I still haven’t shopped for school. i will when I come back from Greece. I have to see if my dad has money left so I can buy some clothes. I never bought so many clothes at one time. I usually search for the cheapest clothes ever, I don’t care if everybody wears them, but I don’t have enough money to spend on clothes. I usually find t-shirts worth $5. Today I went with my dad in town and we stopped at a shop called outlet_ro. I bought two t-shirts one with $3 and one with $4. Pretty cheap no? It fits with out income:d. I hate spending lots of money on clothes because I don’t take care of them. Maybe next summer I’ll get a job and I’m going to buy a lot of clothes. I’m mostly interested in notebooks and pencils and things I need when school starts. I want to be prepared for next year. Also I need to buy my books:d

There are like 1000 kilometres from my town to where we will stay so it’s not so far away:D. I will never think that we’ll ever speak to each other again. I hate that she acted like this with no reason and i will never forgive her.

No I’m not with firsthosting, thanks God. I’m with Georgina. She’s amazing, as you of course:D.

I can’t wait to see facts about you<3 I'm sure you're a very interesting person.

I’m starting to be more independent myself and it is fun! Although my mom still regulates what I buy for the most part, I’m trying to ask her to let me choose my own actual style so I can test my wings while I’m in the house.
I rarely shop for clothes but I’m starting to pay more attention and look at the clothes I wore when I was a preteen with some disdain.
The weird thing about my body is while I may have grown taller my shirt size never went up. It is the same size from when I was 13. So I never had a need to replace those clothes.
I’ll be honest, payless is the place I have to shop and even then I struggle. But my mom didn’t grow me up with the mentality of hang your head low because you are poor. She shops for things she doesn’t just pull some ugly shirt off the rack, because that is all she can afford. She just looks for good buys and only buys that.
I mentally hang my head low but externally I show no expression when people make remarks about ‘poor people.’ Not knowing that one is standing in their midst. I just don’t look like it because I choose not to go buy what ‘they’ tell me I as a poor person I can or should buy.
I just don’t tell people where I shop. I hit the thrift stores once in awhile and find brand new clothes all the time, with tags. They’ll never know. As far as they are concerned my closet is filled with Old Navy, Gap and Banana Republic.
As far as I’m concerned I got the upperhand. Those $15 plain white t’s from Gap? $1 And I won’t go back. :X
_______________
I posted a preview of my dress on my current post. :D

I really don’t like that excuse. “You are too mature.” I’m thinking I will just disregard that if I ever have an argument. Like it never happened.
One of the things I’ve heard people will say is, “Well you got the bachelor’s degree, you figure it out.” And since I plan to get my bachelor’s degree I’m trying to figure out a response to that already.

Man, this reply makes me sound like a person who likes to argue. I really don’t. :D

shopping was always my favourite thing to do when school came around again as well! When we were kids (my brothers and I) we would always want the most expensive stuff. Once we got older we had to buy our own and we all became so cheap LOL, but we were OK with spending lots of our parents money haha.

your outfits look nice! I love wet seal

I love going shopping for school things as well. Apart from shopping for uniform because that involves trying them on! haha
I love shopping for stationary and stuff like that. I went today and as soon as I got home I put everything in the pencil case. :P
I love those shoes you bought. I want some like that. :)

I love how creative people get with their giveaways. ^^ Best of luck! I just now got all of the entries I need for mine.

Annnd, it was a few blogs past, but I saw you posted about the Piczo girl who blatantly steals from people. It makes me so. Frigging. Pissed. Off. She doesn’t even try to hide it. I just feel bad for her, actually, because obviously she didn’t have the sort of parents I did that actually raised me NOT to steal and be a bad person. -shakes head-

Haha, wow, a year younger? You must be really smart!
I watched the latest episode! It wasn’t as good as I hyped it up to be, the drama/plot was sort of lacking.
SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER

And why couldn’t Sullivan say something on the phone? GR! We all knew she would get killed!

SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER

I don’t know! Because that’s where the next event was going to be held, so we just went there to brainstorm. It was so scary!!!

Hehe, shopping is probably one of my favourite past-times! Lucky you guys have everything in America so cheap! Clothes here are like $50 for a shirt !!! ARGHH ! Too expensive for my $8.50-an-hour-butt! Nice clothes, BTW! They’re cute ;D

they’ve been a secret to me for 4 years, and I was pretty close to them (although I did expect it), and there “wedding” is in 2 years from now. If they can tell their friends on facebook, why can’t they tell their family?! wouldnt you want your family supporting you? there definitely not going to if you leave them out of an impotant thing in life..

even though I’ve been out of school for a few years now, I still go “back to school shopping”. Mainly because there’s so many great deals, lol

Also the thing you said about Payless is so true! I love the shoes there and I don’t know why everyone has such I problem with it :?:

I want all of your shoes. Can I just have them? ‘Cause I really want them xP I loveeee back to school shopping, especially now that I got to shop for my dorm room :3 It’s gonna be so cute! As long as my art-loathing roommate doesn’t butcher it. She literally told me she hates art. >_<

I always shopped far away from the kids at my high school, but that's because I have WAY different taste than them (I kind of went to a ghetto inner-city school, or as ghetto as Minnesota gets at least). I can imagine how awkward wearing the same shirt as somebody you hate would be. Yesh D:

Of course all the stationery and school stuff isn’t as interesting as the outfits. :P We don’t have those stores here but we actually do have Payless Shoes and the other shoe stores you mentioned. We have a bunch of other “cheap” stores… and it’s funny when someone makes fun of it just because it’s cheap. It is actually good value for money and the quality isn’t bad. In fact I think it’s the cheap places that people should avoid because a lot of people buy their clothes there as it’s cost effective. Maybe that’s what got all the people going to Aeropostale and such. That said though, if that’s what it makes everyone think, then maybe going to the cheaper stores is a good idea because not everyone will be buying out the latest trends and expensive crap, and you will have unique clothes for a smaller price. :P

I try to keep away from popular stores anyway, when I buy my clothes. That’s why I go to markets and things because you find one-of-a-kind pieces and no one else has them, and they’re cheap too.

I love buying with my own money. I have been like that ever since I got a job, it’s just hard saving up sometimes when you really want to buy a lot of stuff. XD

I have heard Hear You Me! I haven’t seen A Cinderella Story yet though. :X I have heard of other Jimmy Eat World songs and they are really great. :3

Haha my hair isn’t that long! It’s just past my shoulders. It used to be really long but I got it cut so short last time that I had to wait all this time for it to grow out. xD

I don’t mind cheese, but broccoli and cheese is a weird combination. I stopped eating broccoli and had peas and carrots instead. I love peas and carrots. :3

Yeah we do. :\ They’re really boring as well. All black. YAY! >.< They have strict rules in my school. Like for shoes we aren't aloud buckles, coloured bits on them, coloured souls. Completely black. Its so stupid. -_-
I get sad when I loose stationary too. And when I lend them out to people and then they don't give them back and then the next time I see them with them they're broken and snapped and I'm like nooooo! :( haha
Thanks again! :D

Aeropostale is also so famous here! I just like how my mum never complains about the price when I go shopping with her. She just tells me if I can find anything with a cheaper price that’s it.

School is starting soon for you! Good luck. ;)

I’ve never actually had back to school shopping before. I just shop whenever I want! When I was younger I HATED it when I had the same shirt as someone else! It doesn’t happen now though because I get my clothes at Asian places and a lot of them only have one of each. It’s kinda weird, I know, but Asian places are like that.

I have had that once, someone wearing the same as me, I actually quite liked it… it proved that my mom was wrong, people do wear the clothes I like. =P I can imagine it not being fun though, like if you went to a party =O
I’ve never heard of Aeropostale before, I guess I should check it out =D Cheap and cute sounds goooood!
You’re absolutely correct, why pay so much for clothes/shoes when you can have much nicer ones for a better price! =D
